Races to watch

At least one new councilor will be elected to an at-large seat on the City Council today to fill Maura A. Hennigan's vacated post. The race involves eight contenders for four seats; it is highly competetive.

The District 2 contest between a council veteran, James M. Kelly, and a newcomer, Susan Passoni.

The race for District 6, where challenger Gibran Rivera is taking on the incumbent, John Tobin.
