Man shot on Blue Hill Avenue

Boston police are investigating a shooting at the Hip Zepi USA clothing store at 614 Blue Hill Avenue at the corner of Columbia Road that has left one person wounded.

Witnesses say the person was shot in the back.

Shortly after 6:15 p.m., WHDH in a live report from the shooting scene showed police taking someone into custody in connection with the shooting.

A Boston Police spokesperson says the injuries are non-life threatening. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center. Police have roped off the area and set up a crime scene. The shooting occurred shortly after 5 p.m.

WCVB Channel 5 is reporting the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
