Man dead, woman wounded on Mass. Ave.

A man died and a woman was wounded this morning in a shooting on Massachusetts Avenue on the South End-Roxbury line, according to broadcast reports.

The avenue was closed between Tremont Sreet and Columbus Avenue while the shooting was investigated, WBZ Radio reported. The woman was reportedly taken to a hospital for treatment.

The man's body was shown on WHDH-TV, covered with a tarpaulin and lying on the steps of a three-story brownstone.
