City gives $100k for violence prevention

BOSTON Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the Boston Public Health Commission have given $100,000 to various violence prevention programs in the city. Grants of up to $10,000 will go to health centers, hospitals, and human service agencies to develop educational materials, training, and community outreach services.
