BOSTON—Massachusetts residents can now use a Web site to respond to jury summons.

Prospective jurors can confirm their jury service, seek a disqualification or postponement and even complete a confidential juror questionnaire online at the new site, http://www.massjury.com/juror.

State Jury Commissioner Pamela Wood says anything jurors previously had to do by mail or by phone can now be done online.

Wood says the new system could save the state $75,000 a year or more. Officials won't have to pay postage costs for jurors to send in response cards and can send out reminder notices via e-mail instead of regular mail.

Only people who receive jurors summonses can access the Web site.
