A young male was seriously injured Sunday when he jumped from a 17-foot high pedestrian walkway heading towards the stores at Patriot Place, prior to the Patriot's game, police said.

Sgt. John Chandler said the jumper expected to land in a snow bank near Gillette Stadium when he made the leap about 3:15 p.m., but he landed on concrete.

He was flown to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he was in the intensive care unit last night, Chandler said.
