OTISFIELD, Maine—A 20-year-old Maine man who was injured when he fell from a bridge at the New England Patriots' stadium is scheduled for surgery on his hands and wrists Thursday.

Drew Davis was pretending to catch a pass from a friend while he was on the bridge at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and thought he would land in a snowbank when he leaped.

Davis was attending the Patriots' game against the Miami Dolphins on December 23.

His father, Dan Davis of Otisfield, says his son's spleen was injured in the fall and had to be removed. Davis says he's grateful his son's injuries weren't worse.
