LOWELL, Mass.—Two Lowell men are facing charges in the death of a woman who was found in a dumpster.

Police are calling it a case of domestic violence.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone says 24-year-old Shannon Meara's body was discovered early Sunday morning in a trash container at 200 Skyline Drive in Dracut.

Meara's boyfriend, 38-year-old Silinda Sun, and 28-year-old Eric Anderson, both of Lowell, were arrested early Monday morning.

Meara is charged with first degree murder, while Anderson is charged with being an accessory after the fact. Both will be arraigned Tuesday in Lowell District Court.

An autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death.

Investigators allege Meara was killed in an apartment on Westford Street in Lowell.
