Tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. is the deadline to submit applications for a position this summer in the Youth Conservation Corps program at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge.
Four positions are available. Participants will work 40 hours per week and earn $8 per hour. Tentative dates for the program are June 23 through Aug. 15.
This year's crew will work on constructing a boardwalk, brushing trails, erecting fences, and assisting with the station's biological program. To be eligible for the program, enrollees must be at least 15 but not have reached 19 during the term of employment, and be a US resident, have a Social Security number, and a desire and ability to work outdoors.
