Eight people suffer serious injuries in Dedham crash

DEDHAM, Mass.—A minivan traveling on Route 95 South in Dedham crashed onto the guardrail, ejecting all five children and an adult.

State Police say the Sunday afternoon crash left the children and three adults with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Three children were rushed by ambulance to Children's Hospital and two others were taken to Beth Israel Hospital.

The driver, 36-year-old Rupal Patel of Bourne, was taken to hospital together with and 40-year-old Tina Patel of Falmouth and 35-year-old Mya Patel of Bourne, who was ejected from the minivan.

Additional information on their condition was not immediately available.

State Police continue to probe the crash with the help of Dedham and Westwood fire departments.
