Injured dirt bike rider dies

DERRY, N.H.—A Massachusetts man who crashed his dirt bike in Derry, heading into a tree and then a pond, has died.

A Massachusetts General Hospital spokeswoman says 21-year-old Jonathan Garcia of Lawrence was pronounced dead Monday.

Police said Garcia suffered serious chest and head injuries.

Police say the crash happened Sunday on a recreational trail between Warner Hill and Island Pond roads. Garcia was wearing a helmet and riding alone.
