Elizabeth Banks, former nurse, at 78

WAKEFIELD - Elizabeth M. (Hollett) Banks, a former licensed practical nurse, died June 20 at Oosterman's Rest Home in Melrose. She was 78.

Born in Winchester and raised in Wakefield, she was a graduate of Wakefield High School.

She worked as an LPN for many years at Greenwood Nursing Home in Wakefield and also at Malden Hospital.

She leaves her husband of 59 years, Frank H.; a daughter, Kerry, of Brownsville, Vt.; two sons, David of Bourne and Steven of Moultonborough, N.H.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A funeral was held yesterday at Robinson Funeral Home, Melrose. Burial was in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.

Robert Florentino, retired baker, at 55

MALDEN - Robert L. Florentino, a retired doughnut baker, died June 21 in Caritas St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. He was 55.

Born in Everett and raised in Malden, he graduated from Malden High School in 1970.

Mr. Florentino worked as the baker for Mike's Donut Shop in Everett for 35 years until his retirement in 2003.

He was a member of various Malden bowling leagues and was an avid coin collector.

He leaves a daughter, Maryellen, and a son, Robert, both of Everett; a sister, Carol (Florentino) Carlisle of Malden; and a brother, John of West Peabody.

A funeral was held yesterday at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, Malden. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Mary F. King, 87; worked at GE

HAMPTON, N.H. - Mary F. (Fitzgerald) King, a former General Electric worker, died June 21 in the Webster at Rye Rehabilitation Community in Rye. She was 87.

Born and raised in Haverhill, she was a graduate of St. James High School.

Mrs. King went on to work at General Electric in Lynn and later worked at the assigned risk ratings department for the CNA Insurance Co. in New Jersey.

She was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church in Rye.

The wife of the late Ernest F. King for 60 years, she leaves a daughter, Mary, of Hampton, N.H.

A funeral Mass was said Tuesday in St. Theresa's Church. Burial was in High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
