An Amber Alert was issued just before 5 p.m. on a seven-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her father during a social worker-supervised visit this afternoon.

Police are looking for Clark Rockefeller, who took off in the Back Bay with his daughter, Reigh Rockefeller, around 12:45 p.m. in a black GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Tahoe with a Red Sox license plate and Sox stickers on the back of the SUV.

Police believe that the little girl may be in danger, and they are asking the public for help finding her and her father.

Rockefeller is described by police as white, about 50 years old, 5’6”, and 170 pounds with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing khaki pants and a blue Izod shirt.

Reigh was last seen at the intersection of Marlborough and Arlington Streets. She is 4 feet tall with blond hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a pink and white sun dress, red shoes and sunglasses.

“He just took the child and fled,” said Eddy Chrispin, a Boston police spokesman.

Police are searching the immediate area and Logan International Airport for Rockefeller. It is not clear who has custody of the girl or what the circumstances of the visitation were.
