A Medford teenager engrossed in a cellphone call tripped and fell right into a moving Green Line trolley early this morning, according to an MBTA spokesman.
Jae Woo Paeng, 19, was cut in the head after he tripped over a curb and fell against a moving MBTA B Branch car on Commonwealth Avenue near the Harvard Street stop around midnight.
He was taken to Brigham and Womens Hospital. Officials say Paengs injuries were not life threatening. Witnesses told police Paeng was talking on his cellphone and apparently not paying attention to where he was going.
It is important that people always be careful around trolley rights-of-way, said MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo.
