IRISH PRIDE: A native of Derry, Northern Ireland, Ann Mullan-Karakatsanis traveled to America in 1990 to attend a program designed for Irish entrepreneurs at Boston College. Adopting the American "can-do" attitude, she then embarked on designing a line of pottery for the American market that would reflect her Irish heritage while creating manufacturing jobs in her homeland.
