PRINCETON, Mass.—A "ruff" day of work is ahead at state Attorney General Martha Coakley's office.

On Thursday, Coakley and 11 employees will partner with six service dogs in support of the Canine for Combat Veterans Program run by the NEADS organization, which is based in Princeton.

"Dogs at Your Desk Day" brings attention to the recently launched program, which assists wounded veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

NEADS rescues and trains dogs and donated puppies to assist people who are deaf or physically disabled.

Some of the dogs are trained in foster homes, and others by inmates at minimum security facilities under the supervision of NEADS instructors.
