One of the operators of a Chelsea travel agency turned herself in Tuesday at Chelsea District Court on an outstanding arrest warrant for allegedly scamming customers out of airline tickets, said Chelsea Police Chief Brian Kyes.

Claudia Quintanilla, who reportedly operated Oasis Travel, will be arraigned on larceny charges at a later date, Kyes said. The date and the number of larceny counts has not yet been determined, he said, but the total value of the fraudulent airline tickets is about $35,000.

So far, more than 20 people have come forward with allegations that Oasis Travel charged them for tickets that were canceled or charged tickets to their credit cards that did not belong to them, according to the Chelsea Collaborative, an organization exploring a class-action lawsuit.
