HALIFAX, Mass.—Authorities say a 38-year-old Halifax man reported missing since New Year's Day has been found dead in a parked car in Quincy.

A Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority police officer on patrol found Douglas LaMay's remains on the fourth floor of the parking garage at the Quincy Adams MBTA station Sunday afternoon.

David Traub, spokesman for Norfolk District Attorney's office, says preliminary investigations do not indicate that foul play was involved in his death. Investigators have cleared the scene where the car was found.

Traub adds that the office of the chief medical examiner will conduct an autopsy Monday to determine an official cause and manner of death.
