Boston police were investigating a shooting at a home in Mattapan last night that sent three men to local hospitals with gunshot wounds. None of the injuries was life-threatening, said police spokesman Eddy Chrispin.

The shooting occurred sometime around 8:40 p.m. at a home on Taunton Avenue. Police found one of the victims there, and two others were found around the corner in front of a house on Oakcrest Road. Police were unable to give details about the shootings or the identities of the victims. Two were transported to Boston Medical Center and the third taken to Brigham & Women's Hospital, Chrispin said

Police blocked off Taunton Avenue, as well as part of Oakcrest Road, while dozens of officers and detectives investigated the area. The neighborhood is made up mostly of single-family houses and is located near River Street.

Oakcrest Road was the site of a homicide last May, when a Jamaica Plain man was found face down on the street and pronounced dead at the scene. Police said at the time that Daron Lee Ellison, 29, died from a gunshot wound.
