WASHINGTON—Sen. John Kerry will join Vice President-elect Joe Biden on a weeklong fact-finding trip to Southwest Asia beginning later this week.

Sens. Jack Reed of Rhode Island, Susan Collins of Maine and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, will also make the trip, Kerry's office announced Monday. Kerry is the incoming chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations panel.

Details of the trip were not immediately released due to security reasons. Kerry recently traveled to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Georgia and India.
