BOSTON
A Boston man suffered a heart attack and crashed the minivan he was driving into a South Boston pizzeria yesterday. The 54-year-old driver, whose name was withheld by police, was taken to Boston Medical Center after the 4:50 p.m. accident on West Broadway. No customers were inside McGoo's Pizzeria at the time, and three employees were unhurt. Police said they believe the driver suffered the heart attack and then crashed into the restaurant. "I was putting cheese on a pizza. We just saw the car coming," said Adriana Macedo, 23, one of the employees.Bike-sharing program in works for 2010
Need some convenient, green transportation? Swipe a card and grab a bike from the rack. That's the vision for Boston's bike-sharing program, which officials are hoping will launch in spring 2010. The city announced yesterday that requests for proposals had been issued for the program, which would make 1,500 bikes available at 150 stations in Boston. Officials hope the system will eventually include 6,000 bikes at 600 stations in the metropolitan area. Mayor Thomas M. Menino said the city wants the system to extend beyond Boston. Doing that would make the area a "world-class bicycling destination," he said. The system could eliminate up to 315,000 car trips annually, which would reduce 750 tons of greenhouse gases, officials estimated.Dorchester man arraigned in killing
A Dorchester man was ordered held without bail yesterday following his Superior Court arraignment on allegations that he shot and killed a 17-year-old in Codman Square late last year, according to the Suffolk district attorney's office. Patrick Grier, 20, was charged with first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm in the Dec. 1, 2008, shooting of DeAndre Barboza, who died of his wounds on Dec. 3. A 16-year-old female, also from Dorchester, is expected to be charged as an accessory today. At about 9 a.m., both defendants approached the victim as he walked on Lyndhurst Street, said Assistant District Attorney John Pappas. Grier allegedly fired several shots at Barboza before fleeing on foot. Two men are held in child-support cases
Two men wanted for allegedly failing to pay child support have been arrested one week after the state Department of Revenue released its 2009 Top Ten Most Wanted List, according to the department and law enforcement authorities in Florida and New Hampshire, where the men were found. Authorities in Sarasota County, Fla., arrested Christopher John Lagos of Plymouth on Monday at his Venice home. The department said Lagos has not made payments in more than six years and owes about $196,434. Methuen native Eric Alphe Grenier, second on the list, is being held in Hillsborough County Jail in New Hampshire following a conviction on assault charges. He owes $188,733, according to the department.MILTON

Pizza deliveryman robbed at gunpoint
A 20-year-old pizza deliveryman wrested a handgun from one of three men who robbed him on Kendrick Street in Lawrence on Monday, police said. When the Supreme Pizza driver arrived at the address around 7:45 p.m., no one came to pick up the pizza, Police Chief John Romero said. Three men approached the deliveryman as he stood outside his vehicle. One of the men shoved a small-caliber gun into the driver's stomach and demanded his money and cellphone, Romero said. When the suspects tried to take his wallet, the driver grabbed the gun and got it away from the man. One of the suspects then jumped into the deliveryman's vehicle and drove away, while the others fled the scene on foot.© Copyright 2009 Globe Newspaper Company.
