Thousands of Boston University seniors tumbled out of bed last Friday to attend a special breakfast where the school would announce this year's commencement speaker. They cheered as a slideshow flashed headshots of the honorary-degree recipients: Celtics great Larry Bird, legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg, and acclaimed Chinese director Zhang Yimou.
