Dec. 15, 2008: Transportation Secretary Bernard Cohen submits his resignation.
Dec. 19: Governor Deval Patrick appoints James A. Aloisi Jr. as transportation secretary. “I’m sure there will be bumps along the way, no pun intended,’’ Aloisi said in an interview. “But I’m going to do the best I can, given my experience, to get it right and get something historic done. I don’t want to reform around the edges.’’
May 6, 2009: Alan LeBovidge, Massachusetts Turnpike Authority executive director, resigns. “I laid myself off,’’ the 66-year-old LeBovidge said. “I’ve cleaned my office out. I’m out. I’m just another old AARP member.’’
Aug. 6: Dan Grabauskas, MBTA general manager and a holdover from the Romney administration, resigns under pressure from Aloisi.
