BOSTON—One man was hurt after a scaffolding collapse at Faneuil Hall in Boston.

Safety officials said the accident at about 10:10 a.m. Thursday happened as workers were dismantling a crane, and one side of the scaffolding they were on suddenly tilted down. The other side then lifted up, and the man fell off the high end about 15 feet onto a platform below.

Firefighters then used a bucket truck to remove the man from the platform.

Boston EMS spokeswoman Jen Mehigan said the man was conscious, but was complaining of pain. She said he was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The workers has just completed brick cleaning and concrete work at the rear of Faneuil Hall, the famous Colonial-era meeting hall.
