SALEM, Mass.—A Lynn woman has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $1.2 million from her employer to finance a lavish lifestyle.

Tracy Sutley was sentenced to up to six years in prison and ordered to pay $500,000 in restitution after pleading guilty in Salem Superior Court on Thursday to numerous charges, including 13 counts of larceny over $250.

Prosecutors say the 40-year-old Sutley stole the money from Weir Valves and Controls in Ipswich between 2001 and 2008, and told people she inherited her wealth from her dead mother, even though her mother was alive.

She then used the money for vacations to Europe and Disney World, appliances for her home, an in-ground pool, designer clothes and private school for one of her children.

Sutley apologized in court.
