WORCESTER, Mass.—Authorities in Massachusetts say they are still hopeful of finding the primary suspect in a Christmas Eve slaying in Worcester 10 years ago.
Police say Danny Guzman was an innocent bystander when he was shot to death outside a city nightclub in the early morning hours of Dec. 24, 1999. Another man was injured.
Police identified Edwin Novas as the prime suspect, and an arrest warrant was issued charging him with murder, armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Sgt. Kerry Hazelhurst tells The Telegram & Gazette police have followed leads to New York and Novas' native Dominican Republic. The case was even featured on "America's Most Wanted."
Authorities say Novas had a dispute with another customer in the club before the shooting.
