On the eve of his expected confirmation as general manager of the MBTA, Richard A. Davey met with a panel of riders for nearly two hours yesterday, fielding questions and listening to concerns about everything from the location of recycling bins on subway platforms to the long-term health of the often-troubled transit authority.
