At a cost of $915,000 each, fuel-efficient fleet to serve 3 busiest routes

The MBTA introduced the first of 25 hybrid gas-electric buses yesterday that it says are quieter, less polluting, and more fuel efficient than the existing fleet, traveling city streets at a cool 5 miles per gallon. (Full article: 495 words)
