Lieutenant Governor Timothy P. Murray hospitalized
Lieutenant Governor Timothy P. Murray was hospitalized in Worcester last night for observation after reporting feeling unwell from spending the warm holiday weekend marching in parades.
âAfter marching in five parades in 90 degree heat over the last three days the Lieutenant Governor was feeling under the weather and decided to seek medical attention,â Kyle Sullivan, a spokesman for Governor Deval Patrick, said in a statement.
The 42-year-old Murray was at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, which declined to release information on his condition.
âHe's in good spirits, and there will be no further comment this evening,â Sullivan said last night.
One state employee who was not authorized to speak publicly told the Globe Murray had complained of chest pains, but appeared fine. Murray marched in parades in Auburn and Sturbridge on Saturday, Plymouth and Duxbury on Sunday and Chelmsford yesterday.
A Worcester native, Murray is married and has two daughters.![]()
