After midnight, Perseid meteor shower may steal show

Showers are forecast for late tonight, showers of the celestial kind, that is. The annual Perseid meteor shower is expected to begin around 10, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration said, with the shooting streaks of light most visible between midnight and dawn Friday because the moon will not be up during that time.
