BOSTON—Sen. Scott Brown says congressional leaders need to make job creation their primary focus.
Brown told reporters Wednesday that legislative leaders in Washington have focused on other issues, like campaign finance regulations, instead of spending time tackling the country's high unemployment rate.
Brown said even in his recent trip to the Middle East, the leaders of nations in that region wanted to talk about job creation. In the U.S., he says leaders talk about "everything but jobs."
Brown also said Tuesday that he intends to maintain his willingness to work with both sides of the political spectrum on legislation.
Brown made his comments at an event where he endorsed Republican state Rep. Karyn Polito's run for state treasurer.![]()
