A biologist from the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in Cambridge and a mathematician from Brown University will receive the National Medal of Science, the nation’s top science honor. The two scientists — Susan Lindquist of the Whitehead Institute and David Mumford of Brown — will receive the award with eight others at a White House ceremony later this year. ...
