Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley named a veteran fund-raiser yesterday to be the Boston Archdiocese’s first chief development officer and secretary for institutional advancement. Kathleen Driscoll will be responsible for broadening and leading streamlined fund-raising strategies and shared services organization. O’Malley said Driscoll has distinguished herself as leader of the Campaign for Catholic Schools. Driscoll said she will work toward development goals that support parishes, schools, and ministries. As president of the Campaign for Catholic Schools, she helped raise more than $58 million.
