BOSTON—A Worcester man is among about 40 U.S. service members serving in Iraq scheduled to became U.S. citizens.

Pfc. Jesus Moreta, the son of Dominican immigrants, is to take part in a special Veterans Day naturalization ceremony for U.S. soldiers in Iraq on Thursday.

Federal immigration officials say Moreta wants to be a U.S. citizen so he can become an FBI agent and be with his wife who now lives in the Dominican Republic.

The ceremony is planned at Al Faw Palace on Camp Victory, Iraq -- the headquarters for United States Forces-Iraq. The service members are currently deployed for Operation New Dawn.
