Trooper hurt while on construction detail

State Trooper Sean Hodgdon was treated at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington for minor injuries Monday night after his cruiser was struck by another vehicle while he worked a construction detail on Interstate 93, a State Police spokesman said. Matthew Friedland, 21, of Tewksbury, who allegedly struck the trooper’s cruiser, was hospitalized with minor injuries. Friedland will be summoned to court to face charges including negligent operation.
