$600,000 gift lifts agency aiding disabled

A Central Massachusetts agency that helps hundreds of area residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities has received $600,000 donated anonymously to help renovate its headquarters. ARC Community Services in Fitchburg received what it calls the single largest gift in its history last week. Even with the large gift, ARC still needs to raise about $1 million.
