A 71-year-old Dennis man has been ordered held without bail in a fatal shooting in 2009. William F. Horton pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in district court on Monday to a murder charge in the death of Joseph F. Tomaselli Jr. Tomaselli, 24, of Yarmouth was found shot once in the head in a parking area off South Shore Drive in South Yarmouth. Horton’s son, Phillip R. of Apopka, Fla., was arrested Friday and is also being charged in Tomaselli’s killing. He is being held in Florida while awaiting rendition to Massachusetts. Prosecutors did not provide a possible motive for the slaying. William Horton’s lawyer says his client is innocent.
