DEDHAM, Mass.—A University of New Hampshire program that offers adaptive sports opportunities for people with disabilities is hosting a regional sled hockey tournament this weekend.
Northeast Passage is a nonprofit affiliated with the university that specializes in therapeutic recreation for people with disabilities, including children, adults and military personnel.
The Northeast Passage Wildcats -- which include players from Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts -- compete in the Northeast Sled Hockey League and are nationally ranked. The team is hosting a three-day tournament that started Friday in Dedham, Mass.
Other teams come from Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York.
