Eleven soldiers who fought in a war a century and a half ago will be honored today in Revere. Civil War soldiers buried at the Rumney Marsh Burial Grounds will be remembered at the 10 a.m. ceremony. The celebration is being held because this year marks the 150th anniversary of the war. The 11 soldiers include Charles James Bibber, who received a Medal of Honor for his service aboard the USS Agawam. Mayor Thomas G. Ambrosino of Revere, House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo, and an aide from Senator Scott Brown’s office will be speaking. Civil War reenactors will also participate in the event.
