Police: suspected drowning in Chicopee, Southwick

CHICOPEE, Mass.—State and local police officers are searching for a 14-year-old boy who is presumed drowned in the Chicopee River and a 19-year-old man suspected to have drowned in a separate incident in Congamond Lake in Southwick.

State police say the Chicopee victim is believed to have drowned in the river behind the new Front Street Library.

Police did not provide additional details on the drowning in Southwick.

Authorities did not identify the victims or circumstances surrounding the incidents.
