National Grid will now pay $2.2 million in an updated settlement for the company’s response to the winter storm of Dec. 26, 2010, which left more than 113,000 customers without power, officials said. Customers will now be paid $1.2 million as part of the updated settlement, while an additional $1 million will go toward training, charitable contributions, and service improvements. The original deal was determined last month, Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office said in a statement.
