Body may be that of missing boater

State Police and local authorities recovered a body yesterday in the waters off Brant Rock in Marshfield that may be that of a boater who fell overboard two weeks ago. A recreational diver discovered the body “submerged on bottom’’ and called State Police, according to a statement from spokesman David Procopio. The body has not been identified, but authorities had been searching for Steven Zachary Woods, 23, of Marshfield, who fell into the water with his friend Justin McDonald, 22, from a passenger boat on July 16. A passing kayaker rescued McDonald, but Woods was not found. McDonald, who was operating the boat, has pleaded not guilty to charges of operating a boat under the influence of alcohol.
