A man who escaped from a Rhode Island prison was captured in Fall River yesterday, Masssachusetts State Police said. Jose Rodriguez, 27, escaped Thursday from the Adult Correctional Institute in Cranston, where he was serving a 42-month sentence for assault, according to authorities. Rodriguez escaped from a shed at the correctional facility after returning a weed-eater used for a yard cleaning detail. Fall River police, state troopers, and K-9 teams found Rodriguez hiding at 47 Mason St. in Fall River, State Police said. When authorities entered the residence, Rodriguez jumped out of a window and led police on a foot chase before being captured, according to State Police.
