Waitress fatally stabbed in her home

Authorities continue to investigate the stabbing death of a 20-year-old Chicopee woman. Amanda Plasse was found dead, stabbed several times in her apartment on Friday. Hampden District Attorney Mark Mastroianni said Sunday that investigators’ early impression is that she knew her assailant. Friends and family said Plasse had worked as a waitress in several area restaurants, most recently at a local Friendly’s. Police told The Republican they think Plasse was getting ready for work Friday when she was killed. (AP)
