Police were searching yesterday for three suspects who used a gun to force their way into a Danvers family’s home. At 11:35 a.m. yesterday, police responded to a report of a home invasion on Dayton Street, Danvers police Sergeant Robert Bettencourt said. Two adults and one young child were in the home at the time, he said. Three men, all in their low- to mid-20s, claimed to be Comcast workers and then brandished a handgun to gain entry into the home, Bettencourt said. The trio carried a black canvas bag and told the family they would tie them up if they did not cooperate. The men stole televisions and other electronic equipment, police said.
