Local families are invited to a special interfaith commemoration of Sept. 11, 2001, on the Town Green beginning at 12:15 pm. today. Sponsored by the Weston Clergy Association, the commemoration will be led by representatives from Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths. It will begin with the ringing of the Paul Revere bell in the First Parish Church tower, followed by bagpipes and an honor guard from the Police Department. There will be readings and prayers from the three faith traditions. People will have an opportunity to thank local police and firefighters for their work in the community. In the event of rain, the commemoration will be held at First Parish, 349 Boston Post Road. - Tom Coakley
