The Lexington Symphony will open its season with an 8 p.m. performance Saturday in Cary Hall, 1605 Massachusetts Ave. The program will feature the women of the New World Chorale performing two impressionist pieces, “Nocturnes” by Claude Debussy and “The Planets” by Gustav Holst.
