Man seriously wounded in Dorchester

A man was shot last night in Dorchester, and his injuries were believed to be life-threatening, police said. David Estrada, a Boston police spokesman, said the victim, whose age he did not know, was shot at about 9:20 p.m. in the area of 15 Abbot St. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, Estrada said. Additional details were not immediately available late last night.
