Magic trick raises questions for some

The chairman of the Abington School Committee is an amateur magician known to open public meetings with a little sleight of hand. But Russell Fitzgerald may have crossed a line Tuesday night when he performed a trick that made it appear that he and a teacher ripped the bra off another committee member through her clothes. The subject of the trick, Ellen Killian, said she did not want to talk about it. The teacher appeared embarrassed. Other board members also declined comment. Fitzgerald told The Enterprise of Brockton after the meeting that he did not think the trick was inappropriate. He said he did it because he likes it. (AP)
