WASHINGTON—Democrat Elizabeth Warren says she's raised $3.15 million for her Massachusetts Senate campaign.
Warren raised roughly twice as much for the quarter ended Sept. 30 as Republican Sen. Scott Brown, who reported raising $1.55 million.
Warren said in an email to supporters Monday that 96 percent of the contributions were less than $100 for the period. Her campaign said most of the money was raised since she formally joined the race for the Democratic nomination in mid-September.
The consumer advocate and Harvard law professor didn't say how much of the money was raised in Massachusetts.
Polls show Warren leading the Democratic pack.
Brown has $10.5 million in his campaign account. Democrats hope to oust Brown from the late Edward Kennedy's seat in what's expected to be one of the nation's marquee 2012 Senate races.![]()
